AN EASY GIMMICKBy H. O. Hoadley - 2/27/96Surprise and amuse your dancers by calling "Right and left allemande" every once in a while. That isn't tricking the dancers, because they start off in the same way they would if you called Right & Left Thru or Right & Left Grand, and then they have another second or two to figure out how to find their corners after doing the pull-by.Most dancers, even in class, who have done RLT and RLG often enough to make their response automatic should sail through the movement the first time they hear it, and surprise themselves by doing it right before they had time to tell themselves that they didn't know how. Here are some ways to use the idea:
